How much assembly is required for a breeding rack (Versa-Rack)?
A Versa-Rack can be easily assembled with one or two people. The only tool needed is a small wrench to tighten the bolts. Visit our assembly instructions page for complete written instructions and a video tutorial.
Are heat cables included with a snake-breeding rack (Versa-Rack)?
Every Versa-Rack complete package includes one or two 52-foot heat cables. This is enough to supply each shelf and individual tub with heat. Additional heat cables are available for purchase.
Can I use plastic bins from a discount store on a breeding rack?
The Versa-Rack Sterilite® series of breeding racks are designed to fit some of the most common Sterilite® plastic bins sold through many discount retailers. While Vision Tubs are stronger and more durable than Sterilite® bins, they’re still a viable option.
Should the flat side of the plastic shelves face up or down on my breeding rack?
For reptile racks, the flat side of the shelf should face down. This creates a smooth surface and tight seal with the top of the tub. The other side of the shelf with the heat cable clips should face up.
For rodent racks, the flat side of the shelf should face up. Heat cable clips are not required for rodent racks, making them easier to keep clean.
Vision Reptile Cages
Will the bottom of any Vision Cage stack on top of any other Vision Cage?
No. The variety of shapes and sizes makes it difficult for all cages to fit together. The closer the enclosures are in size, the more likely they’ll stack together. If you want more info on specific Vision Cage sizes, contact us.
How can I seal the lip of my Vision Cage?
- Spray an insulating foam sealant
- Trim down the foam
- All done! – It’s as easy as that
